These athletes are still defining themselves in the softball community. They are exploring various positions but trying to figure out where they can excel and improve. It is imperative at this point to enhance their knowledge of the game and its impact on every play. Pitchers are learning more control, gaining speed, and utilizing a change-up. The game begins to get faster, and the level of play increases dramatically! The catching position becomes critical to teams; players must become mobile and develop proper throwing techniques and arm strength.
